After many years in scientific research and after my daughter was born, I discovered how wonderful and fascinating it is to be with children; children of all ages. I eventually found myself becoming more and more involved as an educator particularly in the areas of music and Jewish education. I currently teach Hebrew language skills and assorted Judaic topics and lead Jewish spiritual practice for children ages 5-13. I also create and implement Jewish-themed programs for pre-school-aged children and their families. In addition to this aspect of my life work, I was an educator in a fine arts museum where I worked with people of all ages thinking about and learning about the visual arts. In these realms I have had ample opportunities to engage with and learn from young people at many different stages of their emotional growth and I have benefited greatly. I also enjoy reading and writing poetry and I think it informs the way I see the world. I feel blessed to hold the title of mother and spouse and cherish my family relationships. As the parent of a teen, I continue to work on honing my skills and patience and thank my daughter for all that she gives to me! She has been a major focus of how we have created our Jewish family and I am hopeful that you will find value in the thoughts and insights about Jewish parenting and practice that I share.
